They came unnoticed
tiptoeing in the dusk
amongst the subtle fragrance
of roses and herbs
their steps
trod upon memories
of distant forgotten loves
kisses evaporating slowly
on indifferent lips
cheeks unsullied
by the contact of their mouths
they disappeared a long time ago
swept away by regrets
but a mere gust a wind
pregnant with forlorn perfumes
keeps anchoring their absence
deep into my mind
